۞ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌ ﴿١٤٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick;

146

Now playing ·

وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ ﴿١٤٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him;

147

Now playing ·

وَأَرْسَلْنَـٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ ﴿١٤٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more

فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَـٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ ﴿١٤٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while.

149

فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ ﴿١٤٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallNow ask them (O Muhammad): Hath thy Lord daughters whereas they have sons?

Now playing ·

أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَـٰثًا وَهُمْ شَـٰهِدُونَ ﴿١٥٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallOr created We the angels females while they were present?

Now playing ·

أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ ﴿١٥١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! it is of their falsehood that they say:

Now playing ·

وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَـٰذِبُونَ ﴿١٥٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAllah hath begotten. Allah! verily they tell a lie.

Now playing ·

أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ ﴿١٥٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall(And again of their falsehood): He hath preferred daughters to sons.

مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ ﴿١٥٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWhat aileth you? How judge ye?

أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ﴿١٥٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWill ye not then reflect?

156

Now playing ·

أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَـٰنٌ مُّبِينٌ ﴿١٥٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallOr have ye a clear warrant?

157

Now playing ·

فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَـٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَـٰدِقِينَ ﴿١٥٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen produce your writ, if ye are truthful.

158

Now playing ·

وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ﴿١٥٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him).

سُبْحَـٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ﴿١٥٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallGlorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him),

160

Now playing ·

إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿١٦٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallSave single-minded slaves of Allah.

161

Now playing ·

فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿١٦١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! verily, ye and that which ye worship,

مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَـٰتِنِينَ ﴿١٦٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallYe cannot excite (anyone) against Him.

Now playing ·

إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٦٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallSave him who is to burn in hell.

164

Now playing ·

وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌ مَّعْلُومٌ ﴿١٦٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThere is not one of us but hath his known position.

165

Now playing ·

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ ﴿١٦٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! we, even we are they who set the ranks,

وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ ﴿١٦٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise

وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ ﴿١٦٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd indeed they used to say:

لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٦٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallIf we had but a reminder from the men of old

169

Now playing ·

لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ﴿١٦٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWe would be single-minded slaves of Allah.

170

Now playing ·

فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ﴿١٧٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallYet (now that it is come) they disbelieve therein; but they will come to know.

171

Now playing ·

وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٧١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd verily Our word went forth of old unto Our bondmen sent (to warn)

إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ ﴿١٧٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThat they verily would be helped,

173

Now playing ·

وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ ﴿١٧٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd that Our host, they verily would be the victors.

174

Now playing ·

فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ﴿١٧٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallSo withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile,

175

Now playing ·

وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿١٧٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd watch, for they will (soon) see.

176

Now playing ·

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ﴿١٧٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWould they hasten on Our doom?

177

Now playing ·

فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ ﴿١٧٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallBut when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morning for those who have been warned.

وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍ ﴿١٧٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWithdraw from them awhile

وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿١٧٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd watch, for they will (soon) see.

180

سُبْحَـٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ﴿١٨٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallGlorified be thy Lord, the Lord of Majesty, from that which they attribute (unto Him)

وَسَلَـٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿١٨١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd peace be unto those sent (to warn).

وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿١٨٢﴾
