بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

Ayahs 1 – 80

Now playing ·

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٨١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! he is one of Our believing slaves.

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْـَٔاخَرِينَ ﴿٨٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen We did drown the others.

۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ ﴿٨٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham

إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍ سَلِيمٍ ﴿٨٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWhen he came unto his Lord with a whole heart;

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿٨٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWhen he said unto his father and his folk: What is it that ye worship?

أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةً دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ ﴿٨٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallIs it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire?

Now playing ·

فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ ﴿٨٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWhat then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds?

فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةً فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ ﴿٨٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd he glanced a glance at the stars

Now playing ·

فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌ ﴿٨٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen said: Lo! I feel sick!

فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ ﴿٩٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd they turned their backs and went away from him.

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ ﴿٩١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat?

مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ ﴿٩٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWhat aileth you that ye speak not?

فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ ﴿٩٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen he attacked them, striking with his right hand.

فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ ﴿٩٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd (his people) came toward him, hastening.

قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ ﴿٩٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallHe said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve

وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿٩٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWhen Allah hath created you and what ye make?

قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَـٰنًا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ ﴿٩٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThey said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire.

فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًا فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ ﴿٩٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost.

Now playing ·

وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ ﴿٩٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me.

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ﴿١٠٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallMy Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous.

101

Now playing ·

فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِغُلَـٰمٍ حَلِيمٍ ﴿١٠١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallSo We gave him tidings of a gentle son.

102

Now playing ·

فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَـٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ ﴿١٠٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast.

فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ ﴿١٠٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face,

وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُ أَن يَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ﴿١٠٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallWe called unto him: O Abraham!

105

Now playing ·

قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١٠٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good.

106

إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَـٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ ﴿١٠٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! that verily was a clear test.

107

وَفَدَيْنَـٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿١٠٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThen We ransomed him with a tremendous victim.

108

Now playing ·

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ ﴿١٠٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd We left for him among the later folk (the salutation):

سَلَـٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ﴿١٠٩﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallPeace be unto Abraham!

110

Now playing ·

كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ﴿١١٠﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallThus do We reward the good.

111

Now playing ·

إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿١١١﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallLo! he is one of Our believing slaves.

وَبَشَّرْنَـٰهُ بِإِسْحَـٰقَ نَبِيًّا مِّنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ﴿١١٢﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous.

113

Now playing ·

وَبَـٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَـٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌ وَظَالِمٌ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌ ﴿١١٣﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves.

114

Now playing ·

وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَـٰرُونَ ﴿١١٤﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron,

115

Now playing ·

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ﴿١١٥﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd saved them and their people from the great distress,

116

Now playing ·

وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَـٰلِبِينَ ﴿١١٦﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd helped them so that they became the victors.

117

Now playing ·

وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ ﴿١١٧﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd We gave them the clear Scripture

118

Now playing ·

وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴿١١٨﴾

Mohammed Marmaduke William PickthallAnd showed them the right path.

وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرِينَ ﴿١١٩﴾
